This started as another one of those "too much putty for the model" problems.
I use a lot of Apoxie Putty when working with my models, and sometimes, I'll mix
a little too much than I'll actually need. Since the unused Apoxie will harden anyway,
I try to find ways of using it, such as building the sea-swept castle that you
see below.

The castle is made bit by bit from Apoxie. I started with a tower, then added the
other two towers. I built the courtyard buildings, then finished it off with the
dock. The "island" that it sits on is actually a blob of Sculp-A-Mold, which I have
used to make ground work. The "water" is Flex Paste, which is from Woodland
Scenics.
These photos show the completed, painted castle. I used Tamyia's Buff on the castle
itself, then dry-brushed it with some desert yellow. It came out a little too yellow-ish
for my tastes, but I figure that the local rock that was used in the construction had
an overall amber tone to it. I gave the castle a black wash to bring out some
of the details. I painted the water Flat Blue, then dry-brushed the waves with
a lighter shade of blue--then I highlighted the ocean surface with Flat White.
The island itself is painted Flat Earth.
